European Cups: Copenhagen still the best team after the 3rd matchday

According to the ECRS, after the 3rd matchday of the European Cups the best team is still Copenhagen (Denmark), even if they lost the latest game 0-1 at Leicester. The team's total score is 161,56.
Austria Wien (Austria) took the second place, with 157,80 points.
The third team (formerly second) is Hapoel Be'er Sheva (Israel), with 148,88 points.
None of the first three teams managed to win the last match they played.

Copenhagen is also the best team in Champions League.

The worst team still in the competition is Club Brugge (Belgium), who started directly from Champions League group stage, losing 0-3 to Leicester, 0-4 to Copenhagen and 1-2 to Porto. Now they are in the 231st position with 1,35 points.

European Cups Groups statistics

Following the ECRS, I made some calculations about the European Cups Group stage of the 2016/2017 season.

you find two sheets, one for the Champions League and the other for the Europa League.
For each team you find the score that they started the season with (based on the ECRS), and for each group you find:
- the average score
- the standard deviation
- the percent difference between the best team in the group and the average of that group

In Champions League the top group is the F (with Real Madrid), while the weakest is the G, due to the fact that the seeded club is Leicester, who has a score of zero since they have never played in the European Cups in the last 5 seasons.
The highest standard deviation is again in group G for the same reason as above, while the lowest is in group B, which should be the most balanced.
The top 3 teams in their own group should be Porto (Group G, 49,34% more points than the average), Real Madrid (Group F, 34,65%) and Barcelona (Group C, 32,37%).

In Europa League the top group is the J (with Fiorentina), while the weakest is the H.
The highest standard deviation is in group F, while the lowest is in group J (with only 1,49 points).
The top 3 teams in their own group should be Shakhtar Donetsk (Group H, 56,65% more points than the average), Athletic Club (Group F, 55,07%) and Steaua Bucaresti (Group L, 50,13%).

trovate due fogli, uno per la Champions e l'altro per l'Europa League.
Per ciascuna squadra trovate il punteggio con cui ha iniziato la stagione (secondo l'ECRS), e per ciascun gruppo trovate:
- il punteggio medio
- la deviazione standard
- la differenza percentuale tra la squadra migliore nel gruppo e la media di quel gruppo

In Champions League il gruppo migliore è l'F (quello con il Real Madrid), mentre il più debole è il G, a causa del fatto che la testa di serie è il Leicester, che ha un punteggio di zero dato che non ha mai giocato in Europa negli ultimi 5 anni.
Per lo stesso motivo la deviazione standard più alta è ancora nel gruppo G, mentre la più bassa è nel gruppo B, che dovrebbe essere il più equilibrato.
Le 3 squadre migliori nei rispettivi gironi dovrebbero essere il Porto (Gruppo G, 49,34% punti in più rispetto alla media), il Real Madrid (Gruppo F, 34,65%) e il Barcellona (Gruppo C, 32,37%).

In Europa League il gruppo più forte è il J (quello con la Fiorentina), mentre il più debole è l'H.

According to the ECRS, after the play-off round of the European Cups the best team is Gabala (Azerbaijan). They started from the first round in Europa League, eliminating Samtredia (Georgia), MTK Budapest (Hungary), Lille (France) and Maribor (Slovenia). The team's total score is 101,24.
The second team is Austria Wien (Austria), with 96,64 points.
The third team is IFK Göteborg (Sweden), with 96,24 points.

The best club still in the Champions League is Copenhagen (Denmark), who is in the 4th position with a total score of 95,57. They started from the second round, eliminating Crusaders (North Ireland), Astra Giurgiu (Romania) and APOEL Nicosia (Cyprus).

The worst team still in the competition is Young Boys (Switzerland), who won against Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) in the third round of Champions League, but then lost to Borussia Mönchengladbach (Germany) with an aggregate score of 2-9. Now they are in the 216th position with 17,86 points, and will take part in the Europa League's Group Stage.

My European Cups Coefficients for 2016/2017 season

I calculated the coefficients for the clubs and the football associations that will take part in the 2016/2017 European Cups, following my European Cups Ranking System.

At this link you will find two sheets: one for the clubs (Club Quinquennial Score) and the other for the associations (National Quinquennial Score), both sorted by alphabetical order and by score.
In the "Clubs" sheet, the "Cup" column indicates the Cup that the team started, but some Champions League clubs will end up playing the Europa League, as they will be eliminated in the third qualifying round, in the play-offs or in the group stage. Clubs with zero points didn't participate in the European Cups in the last five years.

Ho calcolato i coefficienti per le squadre di club e per le associazioni che prenderanno parte alle coppe europee nella stagione 2015/2016, secondo il mio European Cups Ranking System.

A questo link trovate due fogli: uno per le squadre di club (Club Quinquennial Score) e un altro per le associazioni (National Quinquennial Score), entrambi ordinati sia in modo alfabetico sia per punteggio.
Nel foglio "Clubs", la colonna "Cup" indica la coppa in cui la squadra ha iniziato la stagione, ma alcuni team di Champions League finiranno per giocare l'Europa League man mano che verranno eliminati al terzo turno, ai playoff o nella fase a gironi. Le squadre con zero punti non hanno mai partecipato alle coppe europee nelle ultime cinque stagioni.
