Spain to have 5 clubs in Champions League

Five Spanish teams have qualified for the Champions League group stage, setting a new record in the European Cups.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid qualified because they ended the last season in the first three positions of La Liga, while Sevilla ended fifth but won the Europa League.
Yesterday, Valencia qualified after a 4-3 aggregate with Monaco, so they joined the other four teams.

For the first time, the winner of the Europa League has the right to take part to the Champions League, and since Sevilla ended La Liga out of the first four positions, after the Valencia's qualification Spain will have 5 teams in the group stage.

Cinque squadre spagnole prenderanno parte alla fase a gironi della Champions League, stabilendo così un nuovo record nelle Coppe Europee.

Barcellona, Real Madrid e Atletico Madrid si sono qualificate perché sono arrivate nei primi tre posti della Liga,  mentre il Siviglia aveva terminato la stagione al quinto posto ma ha vinto l'Europa League.

Ieri, il Valencia si è qualificato dopo aver superato il Monaco con il punteggio complessivo di 4-3, raggiungendo così le altre quattro connazionali nella fase a gironi.

Per la prima volta, la squadra vincitrice dell'Europa League ha il diritto di partecipare alla Champions League, e dato che il Siviglia ha terminato la scorsa stagione fuori dai primi quattro posti in campionato, dopo la qualificazione del Valencia la Spagna avrà 5 squadre nei gironi.

Ronaldo and Real Madrid to set new records

With the two goals scored yesterday against Levante, Cristiano Ronaldo set a new record, scoring 15 goals in the first 8 matches in La Liga. The previous record was set in the 1943-1944 season, 71 years ago.
The whole Real Madrid team scored 30 goals, and at this pace they would score 142 goals at the end of the season. The current record (for the Spanish Championship) is of 121 goals, by Mourinho's Real Madrid in the 2011-2012 season.

Con le due reti segnate ieri contro il Levante, Cristiano Ronaldo ha stabilito un nuovo record, avendo segnato 15 goal nelle prime 8 partite di campionato. Il record precedente durava da 71 anni, dalla stagione 1943-44.
Complessivamente il Real Madrid ha segnato 30 reti, e continuando con questo ritmo arriveranno a 142 goal a fine stagione. Il record attuale (121 goal) è detenuto dal Real Madrid di Mourinho, e fu stabilito nel 2011-2012.

Atlético Madrid has won the Spanish Super Cup

Yesterday, Atlético Madrid won its 2nd Supercopa de España (out of 6 finals), defeating 1-0 Real Madrid in the second leg of the final. The decisive goal was scored by Mario Mandžukić in the 2nd minute of the match.
The 1st leg ended 1-1.

For Real Madrid, this was the 14th final (9 wins).

Ieri l'Atletico Madrid ha vinto la sua seconda Supercoppa di Spagna (su 6 finali giocate), battendo 1-0 il Real Madrid nella partita di ritorno della finale. Il gol decisivo è stato segnato da Mario Mandžukić al 2° minuto di gioco.
L'andata era terminata 1-1.

Per il Real Madrid si trattava della 14esima finale (9 vittorie).
